Farm Description

When I look at our cattle, I see them as a plough, slasher and fertiliser – they’re part of a farming operation and play a huge role in contributing to the health of the soil. Soil health is the heart and soul of every farming operation; it’s critical to increasing production and ultimately kilograms over the hook.

Last year I received the Nuffield Scholarship, which will give me the chance to study the world’s best practice pasture management and other key elements of the beef industry all around the world. I’m hoping to broaden my knowledge of international best-practice pasture management for sustainable grazing systems and also to increase my understanding of the substantial productive gains that come from correct genetic selection in cattle herds.
