Farm Description

We are a small family run farm in the Pappinbarra valley. We have large market gardens that supply local veggie shops and cafes, we are trying to expand the gardens and orchards, which we have two of, one with mixed fruit and the other is a citrus orchard. the orchards are only young but we got our first citrus fruit this year so we are quite excited.
I have an angus bull and an ancient Hereford steer and I am hoping to get some Hereford heifers soon to run with the bull, I personally am a cattle girl through and through and have wild hopes of one day owning a farm out west a bit and running beef cattle.
The area we are located in used to be a big dairy area boasting over 60 dairys (which is a lot for our small valley) but now has only 4
So the soil is very rich and the Kikuyu grows very well. I would like to spread some other seed as well though.
The ground retains moisture very well so it takes quite a while for a drought to really affect us in a bad way making it ideal for food production etc
I will add more to this as time goes on.
